B.Sc. in Radiotherapy Technology - 4 Years
3 Years of Course Study + 1 Year of Compulsory Internship
(Annual Intake: 10 Seats)

Objective :

To train the candidates in physics applied to radiotherapy, human anatomy and all types of cancers treated by radiotherapy. It will also provide practical training in the operation and handling of the treatment machines.

Career Options :

There are ample opportunities as radiotherapist in various cancer institutions, super specialty hospitals, government and private hospitals. Self-employment opportunities as well as option to pursue further studies are also available to radiotherapist.

Age :

Minimum 17 years completed.

Eligibility :

A PASS in Higher Secondary Course (+2) in Science Stream with Biology / Zoology should have been studied as ONE of the subjects.

Condition for Eligibility :

Candidates those who are NOT belonging to Tamil Nadu State OR NOT COMPLETED their Higher Secondary Course or other equivalent examinations under Tamil Nadu State Board seeking admission into the course should obtain the Eligibility Certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai prior to admission. This is a mandatory.
